Most pecan pie recipes are way to sweet, this recipe tones down on the sweetness to make a better PECAN pie and not so much a syrup pie.
- All Purpose Flour - 2 Tablespoons
- Brown Sugar - 1/2 Cup
- Pecans - 1-1/2 Cups
- Eggs - 2
- Heavy Cream - 1/2 Cup
- Maple Syrup - 1/4 Cup
- Pie Crust - 1
Start out by placing the pecans into a frying pan, toast them over med-high heat. you want them to put off a nice toasty pecan smell.
Mix together the flour with the sugar and set aside.
Mix together the 2 Eggs, 1/2 cup heavy cream, and 1/4 cup maple syrup.
Mix the flour mixture and wet mixture together then pour into your pie shell.
Place toasted pecans on top of the pie.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and cook the pie for 40 minutes.
